COVID-19 Response & Recovery

A discussion on the federal, state and local perspectives of COVID-19 response and recovery.

KENTUCKY:
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is working with Water and Environmental specialists at AECOM to determine the presence and concentration of the SARS CoV-2 virus in wastewater.  An initial pilot test will be performed for up to 12 weeks to sample wastewater from two correctional facilities in the Louisville area, with the possibility of expanding system-wide.

TENNESSEE:
Jacobs was retained by the City of Chattanooga to provide emergency services & recovery support for the COVID-19 pandemic.  Jacobs is tasked with providing technical advisory services, strategies and advice to secure funding and claiming opportunities, and policy advice on State and Federal disaster relief programs, while working to ensure the City receives the maximum possible reimbursements or grant funds available through Federal and State agencies. Jacobs is also developing a strategic Emergency Response Plan (ERP) for COVID-19 as well as any future pandemics or other health crises.
