CMAR Lessons Learned: Nashville Central Project

(A webinar from the Summer Deep Dive Series: presented by Kentucky/Tennessee WPC)

Metro Central Upgrade: Lessons Learned through CMAR.  This webinar will address multiple facets of this unique project: it is the largest dollar value project in Metro Water history, the first Construction Management at Risk project for Metro Water, and the first to be designed in BIM - three dimensional modeling. Presentations from Metro staff, the designers and CMAR will cover communication between the Owner and treatment plant staff with the designers and CMAR regarding process and equipment preferences, sequencing, tie-ins, process control issues and Maintenance of Plant Operations (MOPO) during construction. Topics from the designers will include design modifications based on input from the owner and CMAR, and lessons learned from BIM utilization. Topics will also include the value in CMAR pre-construction phase services for decision making, value engineering, constructability reviews and cost estimating.
